We have been tracking for another album release in 2024. Rhythm tracks done for four of the new tunes. If you’ve been coming out to the songwriter Night events you have have heard me and Rich Farias trying them out over that past couple months. Titles so far are “Welcome To The Bayou” – “Best Year Ever” – “44 Valentines” – “Here For The Beer” . We have several more tunes to get recorded before the release date will be set.
March 2024 – It’s been a year since the release of our last full album of original music “Late Bloomer”. The Big Squeeze Band is now out performing live to promote the sale and continue to develop the songs on this album. The next public performance is Saturday, March 23rd at Smokey Jo’s in Crete, Illinois – You can hear all tracks on the Music Tab on this website or any streaming platform. CD’s are sold at the shows or by email request.
The Lemmon Brothers will also be back in the area coming up in August. Here are the public performances scheduled so far for out Northern Tour.
Friday, August 23rd – Outdoor Concert – Lowell, Indiana
Saturday, August 24th – Club date at Smokey Jo’s in Crete, Illinois
There are dates booked in Southern Illinois as well and more to come as the summer approaches. Please go the tour dates tab on this site for details and the most up to date events.
February 2020 – There is a new release! “Christmas Comin'” has been released as a single and is now available for digital download. This is the first recording to be released that was actually recorded here at Lemmon Tree Studios in DeMotte. The mastering was done at The Spot Studio in Schneider, Indiana. Special thanks to Michael Carson Sr., Joe Goodrich, and Ken MacDonnell for playing tracks during a Songwriters Workshop session that was recorded here at Lemmon Tree Studio.
As usual, just see the links below to purchase. As always, you can listen for free on this website “Music” tab, Youtube, or Spotify.
October 2019 – Great news! There is now a Danny Lemmon Music Publishing Company.
Our goals are three-fold:
1) Placing songs from local songwriters with known recording artists
2) Helping local artists to monetize their recorded works for use in streaming and syncing.
3) Monetizing arrangements or recordings of copyrighted works by obtaining license agreements and permissions.
Please contact me (Danny) if this service may be of interest to you.
2019 – I must say, what a pleasure to have three of the best guitar players in the area on our shows this past years. Ron Berry, Bob Savage and Pete Calacci all tag-teaming to fill the guitar slot for the band. They’re all hard to get, but we made it work.
Also, what a pleasure to have Ken McDonnell (bass) playing our shows this summer while Rich was up in the U.P. and of course having Barry Sperti as a regular band member is a such a pleasure and adds a new dimension to our shows with his great saxophone work and show-stopping vocals. Also, Brother Kent Lemmon has joined the Big Squeeze Band filling out the horn section, spelling me on the keyboards and shoring up the vocals.
Well, things were a bit different from past years to start off 2019 and continued to be so all the way through. I turned away from booking local club dates as I had in the past and concentrated on booking more private and corporate events for our shows. As it turns out I actually worked more with some other very fine groups more often than The Big Squeeze. Between the Bluz Brothers, The Saxophones, and TNT my calendar has filled quickly.
Don’t worry The Big Squeeze Band and The Lemmon Brothers will end up with a fine compliment of public shows to go along with the private events we have already booked. Check our Tour Dates page for the shows we already have booked. Check back a little later as booking for the 2019 festival season is just around the corner.
2019 has been great year for us. Thank you all so much for coming out and supporting us and sharing the good times.
Please add us to your Spotify playlist. It costs nothing to add our tunes to your playlist and helps us out in so many ways. Only our original songs are available for streaming on Spotify. They are under two artists: Danny Lemmon Music and Danny Lemmon and the Big Squeeze.
We also recently posted all of our original tunes to youtube so feel free to listen and “like”. We also have posted several live videos of The Lemmon Brothers Band and Danny Lemmon and theBig Squeeze playing covers for you enjoyment – that’s also on youtube. If you have trouble finding them try the Danny Lemmon Music Youtube channel.
There are three new originals available for your listening pleasure. You can her them on the “Music” tab on this website and purchase downloads of the new songs in the usual way from links listed just below this paragraph in “Recordings For Sale!”.
We plan to release a vinyl album (with download load included) by years’s end that includes these three new ones, three previous releases not yet on an album, and three songs that the recording is still in process. We will announce when the album is done and have a party to celebrate and demonstrate the songs live.
There is a podcast now available to listen to about Danny Lemmon Music and the recordings we have made – past and present. It’s free. Please listen at regionradio.live (on the internet, of course). Go to podcast tab at the top and select Chicago Bob’s podcast #8 to hear the previously aired radio program.

What’s up with Lemmon Tree Recordings. Work continues on our second CD of all originals. Three of the new tunes are available now individually for download from I-tunes or Amazon. The other new tunes will become available as we finish each song. I know some of you have been waiting to get recordings of the new originals we have been playing out lately.
We hope to finish the recording of at least eight new original songs for a CD release in the winter of 2020. It’s coming. The next recording session is booked for January. This time we record at The Spot Studio in Schneider, Indiana.
Another exciting development has been the Songwriters Workshops that we have hosted here at our home in DeMotte. No audience for these sessions, but the results have been several new tunes from the participants of the sessions. Many of these tunes will be debuted later this year when I will be hosting “Songwriters Showcase” for the public to attend. Please see the tour dates for dates and locations of these live songwriter performances associated with Danny Lemmon Music. Besides members of my band, we have had several wonderfully talented writers participating in the sessions including Joe Goodrich, John Huber, Ron Berry, Mike Carson, Ken McDonnell and Barry Sperti to name a few.
